“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”“Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.” Matthew 14:28-33

What do we do when the doubt comes? It is normal when the doubt comes and can I tell you that the doubt is very important in the life of a believer. It seems odd, but in order for us to believe we need to doubt, if we don’t have doubt we will just know and that’s not call believing.

I want to break it down how it was revealed to me.

Let’s take a look at what peter said “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter was not sure that he was talking to Jesus so can we say that peter started talking to Jesus with a doubt? GO ON! Move on with what ever you think is not having faith, just believe. That’s how Peter started to grow in his faith by doing what was not certain.
Sometimes it’s going to hurt to believe. When Peter begin to sink I know he started asking questions. Is it worth it? You tell me is it worth it. Why you started to begin with. It’s okay if you are tired just don’t give up because I tell you what, this passage started with a doubt or a question but it ended with a statement.

As I write this I feel like the Lord is talking directly to me. Sometimes it’s just hard to just hold on but please do because you will see when you get on top of the mountain.

Let me tell you how the story ended now Peter knew that it was Jesus for sure, Jesus is now in the boat with him and he did something he probably never image like walking on water. Maybe you don’t want to walk on water or maybe you do, but what are the impossibles in your life.

Today is the day to say Lord Jesus I’m not sure but help walk the impossible walk of faith. You could do it I believe in you, you should too.
